Why I Built This

Hi, I'm Kyle. After 12 years of collecting guitar tabs, I got tired of the 20-step process to mod songs into other software. So I built SongVisualizer.

Now it's my primary way to practice—I've logged 90+ hours, 1,900+ plays, and 500+ sessions over the past 2+ years.

Every stat you see below? That's my real practice data, updated live from my database. No fake demos. No marketing fluff. Just proof that this actually works.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to own Guitar Pro software? +

No. You only need .gp5 files (the tab files), not the Guitar Pro application. SongVisualizer reads these files directly.

Where do I get .gp5 files? +

Many guitar tab websites offer .gp5 downloads. You can also create your own in Guitar Pro or similar software, or find them in online guitar communities.

What guitar input do I need? +

Any 1/4" to USB cable or audio interface works. SongVisualizer uses C++ audio processing for responsive note detection. We recommend a 60Hz display for optimal visual performance.

How is this different from other guitar games? +

SongVisualizer works with any .gp5 file you have—not a fixed song library. Plus, every note you play is tracked, so you can see real improvement over time with detailed statistics.

What platforms does it support? +

SongVisualizer is available on Steam for Windows and macOS. Linux support may be added in the future based on demand.

Is there a subscription fee? +

No. SongVisualizer is a one-time purchase. You own it forever, and you can import unlimited songs from your own .gp5 collection.

Ready to Start Your Guitar Journey?

Import your .gp5 files, track your progress, and watch yourself improve.

One-time purchase. Your songs. Your progress. Forever.
